Meet Kara.
Kara Driscoll is a communications leader and freelance writer based in Cincinnati, Ohio. As the Director of Marketing & Events for the Nancy & David Wolf Holocaust & Humanity Center, she is responsible for elevating and promoting the museum’s mission through marketing, communications, and event planning. This role provides the strategic leadership, drives the vision, and leads the planning efforts for a broad scope of marketing initiatives and live, digital, and hybrid events.
With experience in print and multi-media journalism, Kara values the power of storytelling. She reported on military affairs and business topics for Cox Media Group for more than three years. She was the recipient of the 2018 Burns Fellowship, reporting on foreign policy at German newspaper Die Welt in Berlin.
She is also the winner of an Ohio Associated Press First Place Award for Explanatory Reporting. Kara earned her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism at the University of Cincinnati in 2016. Her journalistic work has been published in various national outlets including Fortune Magazine, The Associated Press, The Virginian-Pilot, Stars and Stripes, TimeOut.com, The Seattle Times and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. She is currently accepting freelance writing, marketing, and consultation work.
